When I was 5, I started playing the drums. At 8, the piano. At 10 I first started making music on my computer. At 14, I started taking beatmaking more seriously and entered the music industry. Wuzahbeats was created. Long before I started making clothes, I was a music producer. At age 15, I signed a management deal and started producing for people such as Leto and Bouss in France, or travelling to London to work with British artists such as Jbee. After exiting that deal, my school awarded me a scholarship to go to the United States and work in studios with American artists and producers for 2 weeks. It’s there that I met Kyle Richh, Jenn Carter and Tata’s production group PMG, founded by Young Prototype, and joined it. New York is also where I met legendary producer Jerry Wonda (who’s produced songs for Kanye West, Michael Jackson and others) at a music industry event in Manhattan. Since coming back to France, I am to this day working on projects with Kyle Richh, Jenn Carter or Tata through PMG. More than just production, I also do engineering work (recording, mixing, mastering) both internationally and locally (in Paris). Being in the music industry as a clothing brand owner gives me an upper hand. Music and fashion, especially in rap, are so connected that one couldn’t go without the other. Thanks to this, I use my connections in the music industry to get my clothes worn by artists who I think embody the spirit of the brand. By working my way through the music industry, I’m also working my way through the fashion industry. I think that starting with music gave me a much better understanding of myself as a creative and of my own taste. When you’re making a beat or mixing a song, you are constantly interpreting what you hear, deciding wether you like it or not, and then adjusting it based on the global direction of the project. This is directly applicable when designing clothes. More than an understanding of my taste, working with artists such as AVP on projects like “El Sueño” gave me a sense of global creative direction, and the execution a set vision. It’s when I started working on albums and got involved in campaigns involving photos, videos and live events that I realized sounds weren’t the only things I could create. I love fashion because it’s a blend of everything that’s dope. When I’m working on a drop, I’m working on clothes, photos, videos, music, events…
